Nexus 4 has perhaps been the most successful nexus device till date in close competition with Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus. But if you count in premium build quality and decent sales figures, you have to say that the LG Nexus 4 has done well in the market and to an extent reassured the position of LG among the leading smartphones OEMs in the world. But, LG Nexus 4 is old story, everyone has been waiting for the new Nexus now and rumors are strong that it could be released towards the end of the year alongside the latest Android version 5.0 also known as Keylime Pie.
The rumors are strong that Google is once again working with LG over the development of Nexus 5 in what ccould be a rather high spec’d device with good premium build. Till the Nexus 4, the Nexus devices were aimed primarily for the developers and were all about latest support from Google with not much emphasis on top of the shelf hardware or build. However, some of the rumored specs of the Nexus 5 are pretty impressive and certainly shows that Google realizes how important the Nexus chains of devices are.
The device is rumored to have a Snapdragon 800 SoC and a 5 inch thin bezel true HD display. The phone is expected to be based upon the LG Optimus G2 which was released earlier this month. So we can expect 2 GB of RAM and a rear camera in excess of 10 MP. The device could also sport the legendary glass panel on the back, just like the Nexus 4.
