As we approach the holiday season, the rumors about new devices coming seems to be picking the pace. A lot of these make sense too. It has been an year since Google introduced the Galaxy Nexus coupled with ICS, and naturally the rumors are starting to grow about the potential successor to the massively successful vanilla Android device. During the last keynote about 5/6 months ago Google also introduced it’s very first venture in to the Nexus world of tablets by bringing out the Nexus 7, a 7 inch tablet manufactured by Asus.
Both these devices have been extremely popular with the developers especially given their ability to be easily customized and loaded with custom made ROM’s and flashed with Kernel’s. Both these devices have been in hot demand and a lot of people are expecting Google to really build upon them. And it seems like for once Google is thinking in the same direction as their loyal customers. Both these devices may soon be on the verse of fairly significant updates.
According to the latest leaked images the Google smart phone would be called the Samsung Galaxy Nexus 2, and the Nexus 7 too is all set to be bumped up to 64 GB as compared to the 8 GB and 16 GB variants that is currently available. This also quashes the rumors that there may be more than one Nexus devices which would be manufactured by 5 OEM’s. Seems like Samsung has already beaten the competition off it’s rivals for the coveted Smart phone. It also indicates that the devices could well be launched sometime late October or November since it is making an appearance in inventories, surely they cannot be far off now.
