In an event held in New Delhi today, Nokia has announced the Lumia 1320 and 525 for the Indian market. The two devices had been launched sometime in November in the United States and have finally made way to the Indian market. The Lumia 525 is the successor to the Lumia 520 which has been considered as one of the very best budget smartphones in the market while the Lumia 1320 with 1520 announces the foray of Nokia in Phablet category albeit the 1320 is a more budget friendly device.
The Lumia 525 packs 1 GB of RAM with 4 inch 800×480 display with Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8227 SoC at the heart of it. The device features removable back panels and comes in variety of color choices such as orange, yellow, black and white. There is also Memory Card extension in the device via Micro SD and is powered by a 1430 mAh battery. The Lumia 525 has kept the same design language as the Lumia 520 and will be available starting January 7 for Rs. 10,399.
The Lumia 1320 on the other hand is the budget phablet device and will sell for Rs. 23,999 which is extremely competitive. The device runs on Snapdragon 400 chipset with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage with Micro SD expansion available. the screen on the device is a 6 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280. The phone features the clear black technology and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Just like the 525, the 1320 comes in white, black, yellow and orange variants. It would be available starting january 13. Both the Lumia 525 and 1320 will run on Windows Phone 8.1.
