Nokia announced the Lumia 830, calling it the ‘Affordable Flagship’ at IFA 2014. The smartphone will be the successor to the Lumia 820 which a couple of years ago was one of the most popular Lumia devices. The Lumia 830 will go on sale in the markets starting today, for a price of 330 Euros and will come out of the box with the Lumia Denim update, which brings a host of new features such as 4K video recording and a new Nokia Camera application.
The Denim update will start rolling to all the Nokia Windows Phone 8 devices in the Q4 of this year. The Lumia 830 smartphone brings 10 MP rear camera with Zeiss optics and sensor size of 1/3.4 inches. It features an aluminum frame with an all polycarbonate body which comes in three colors, white, green and orange. On the specs front, the device has a 720 P display which is 5 inches in size, giving the phone a PPI of 294. The phone is driven by a Snapdragon 400 SoC with 1 GB of RAM and 16 Gb of internal storage. The battery here is a 2200 mAh.
The Lumia 730 on the other hand is a phone that is focussed on helping you take better selfies. It is a dual SIM device while the 735 is the same phone as the 730, but with a single SIM and 4G LTE capabilities. The Lumia 730 will retail for about 199 Euros while the Lumia 735 is priced at 219 Euros before taxes. The USP of the Lumia 730 is its 5 Mp front facing camera and has a 1.2 GHz Quad Core Snapdragon SoC at the heart of it with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. The display is a 4.7 inch one with 720 P resolution. The battery here is a 2220 mAh.
Both the devices will be available starting this month itself.
