Nokia has parted ways with its Symbian Operating system by replacing it with the new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS on their new Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 series. And now, these cool new gadgets are set for launch in the Indian market starting November 14. Since other companies like Samsung and Apple take their own time in releasing new phones in India, Nokia is looking to seize this opportunity by entering into the Indian Telecom market early and take over what they once practically owned. The pricing of their new releases are not yet known but it is expected to be competitive. The launch is expected to happen in Delhi on November 14th.
The Nokia Lumia 800 will com with a 3.7 inch touchscreen, a 1.4 GHz scorpion processor, 512 Mb of RAM and an 8 megapixel camera. The Nokia Lumia 710 will have almost the same features as the 800 series but with a 5 megapixel camera.
These phones look to be sleek and fast enough to challenge their competitors in a way that the older phones with the Symbian Operating systems couldn’t. So keep watching this space from time to time to learn more about this new addition to the smart phone family.
