We may never see another smartphone with the Nokia moniker, but that doesn’t mean we will not see another Nokia product. Post the sale of the handset division to Microsoft, Nokia has remained pretty active in other fields such as mapping solutions, enterprise and others while also clearly working on the hardware side of things. The first taste of things to come could be unveiled as early as today, as Nokia teased us with a tweet saying that they have indeed been up to some really cool stuff.

The tweet from the official twitter account shows some sort of a box, which could well be a DV Box or a set-top box, or some sort of a box for streaming media content. It is not clear whether there is some sort of content partnership with some of the big players or will it be a totally independent Nokia initiative. The product lineup, which will be the first post the sale of mobile handset, will clearly state the direction in which the company is planning its next move.
Nokia CEO, Rajeev Suri had confirmed in the past that Nokia would not be returning to any handset business, at least in the short term, and as a result you can be rest assured that the unveiling today would not feature a smartphone at least.
