It is absolutely no surprise that the news regarding the Samsung Galaxy SIII just does not seem to stop. And the developers are in an absolute race to make sure that they get their products out for this wonderful device as soon as it is possible. It has just come to our notice that finally the Official CyanogenMod 9 Nightly builds are now available for this monster of a device. For those who are unaware of what CM9 is, it is the vanilla version of Android ICS that you can flash to your device given that you have rooted it. However the nightlies are mostly the beta version that as the name says are released every night and more often than not very stable.

However, these nightlies are said to be fairly stable ROM’s just in case you would like to play and explore your device a little bit. Most of the functions seem to work well with the device apart from these which are as listed by the developers themselves:

  • FM Radio: currently not supported, try Spirit FM from market
  • Using flash in camera causes problems.
  • LED is not being lit when charging.”
For those owners of the new flagship device of Samsung, if you wish to learn how to install this ROM or even where to download this or just to follow the progress of the development regarding the phone can head over to the page on the XDA Forums here.
