There are nother 5 days to go till the 27th of July, which is when the OnePlus 2 will be officially announced for the world. Yet, there has been a lot of hype around the device already with plenty of interest around the smartphone. After the success of the OnePlus One, it is obvious that the OnePlus 2 will have large standards to match up to and OnePlus is ensuring through constant marketing efforts that people eagerly await the announcement of the device. Popular Youtubers like MKBHD already have the device and are continuing to fuel the fire, but for the rest of us, we have very little clue about what the device will look like until now.
The new OnePlus 2 has been pictured in Chinese TENAA certification website which gives us the first look at the device. in terms of specifications, we have been teased a fair bit by OnePlus stating the device will come with a Finger Print scanner, Snapdragon 810 as well as a 2K display. The image leaked shows the implementation of the finger print scanner on the front panel with what looks like a Home button.
At the back, you have a very similar sandstone like texture that we saw on the OnePlus One, though the camera module (a 13 MP unit) has shifted towards the center of the device rather than closer to the top chin. The side profile shows that the device will have a metallic frame with volume rockers on the right side with a flushed power button. The SIM slot, which is slated to be a dual Micro SIM slot, will be on the left-hand side of the device. Other than this, we also know that the OnePlus 2 will come with Type C connector as well as a 3300 mAh battery out of the box.
