OnePlus is expected to announce the OnePlus 3 in the coming month. We have already seen that OnePlus has shared in a mailer that they would begin selling their Virtual Reality headsets once again globally so that users can purchase the same and enjoy the full VR launch that promises to take them to virtual space in order to announce their latest flagship device. The OnePlus 2 was announced via a VR launch last time around and received very mixed reactions.
The phone in itself did not do very well last year and as a result, there is a lot that is riding up on the shoulders of the OnePlus 3. The image of the phone was recently posted on Twitter by the trusted @Evleaks, though since then the phone has been caught over in China passing certification tests which also confirms the specifications of the smartphone. Carl Pei, the CEO of OnePlus too has been pretty vocal about the device stating how good it is to hold in the hand. He is most likely alluding to the new all metallic design that the OnePlus 3 will be sporting. The certification
The certification test confirmed that the device will be sporting a 5.5-inch display with 1080P resolution powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC with a 6GB RAM variant as well as a 4GB RAM version. The rear camera will be 16 MP while the front-facing snapper will be 8 MP. It is expected the phone will come in both 16 and 64GB memory versions. The device will have Dual SIM, Type-C connector, and 3000 mAh battery. In terms of colors, the device will be launched in three variants: gray, black and golden.
