OnePlus has been teasing their upcoming flagship device, the OnePlus 2 for a while now. It is clear that the device is set to launch on July 27th via a unique VR concept which would require the fans to purchase the VR cardboards to be able to be a part of the launch itself. While the cardboards themselves will not cost anything, the users will have to ay for the shipping costs. While we wait for the launch of the device, OnePlus has taken up to their forum as well as their Social Media pages to tease the features of the device as well as give us a peek in to what are the things that we can expect from the upcoming phone.
After pretty much confirming the CPU of the device as well as the screen, OnePlus has now confirmed that the phone is indeed coming with a finger print scanner, that works better than even the Touch ID on iPhones.
OnePlus posted on their forum:
With the OnePlus 2, the fingerprint sensor is done right. It’s refined and lightning quick, unlocking your device faster than TouchID. The average person checks their phone over 200 times per day. If you spend just three seconds inputting a PIN number or pattern, that’s over an hour of your time gone each week.
The scanner will be able to store up to 5 finger prints though it is not clear where the scanner will be placed, whether on the front or back of the device. OnePlus 2 is expected to also come with an upgraded Oxygen OS under Android 5.1, and is expected to be priced in the region of $322.
