OnePlus One is Receiving CyanogenMod 12.1 Update

After months of waiting, looks like the owners of OnePlus One finally have something to look forward to. The device is now receiving the update to the latest CyanogenMod version 12.1 in certain parts of the world. Since the update is rolled out in patches and stages, only about 2% of the users have got the update on their devices. More users are expected to get the update in the coming days and weeks. We can confirm that our India purchased OnePlus One has not received the update just yet and we are still using the device on CM 12 with Android 5.0 running.

It is being reported that the new update will bring the highly discussed patch for the Stagefright bug. Not just this, you get all the goodness of Android 5.1.1 which mainly includes performance enhancements as well as security improvements along with the Chrome button activation using the Home button. The update will roll out for both, users who are on Android 4.4 and Android 5.0 running OnePlus One devices.

The size of update for those who are on Android 5.0 already is approximately 304 MB in size. Since the update fixes up a critical bug, we would advice all our users to apply the update as soon as your device catches it. You should be on the build number YOG4PAS1N0 once the update has been applied on your OnePlus One. If you are on Oxygen OS, OnePlus team has already rolled out a patch for the Stagefright bug so you have nothing to worry about. For those who are on Android 5.0 and havent received the update yet, can download the same directly from here and flash it manually.
