The much awaited, OnePlus One smartphone from Chinese startup, OnePlus will go on sale in India starting December 2nd, in an exclusive partnership with Amazon. The device has been billed as the Flagship killer and has been one of the most sought after smartphones in the world today. The reason for that is that OnePlus is available only via an invite system, and unless you have an invite, you cannot purchase the device.
You will need a similar invite system when you pick the phone in India, and these can be obtained by registering yourself for the OnePlus newsletter on Amazon and then carry on to participate in Social Media contests held by Amazon and OnePlus. To start off, only 1000 invites will be made available, so unless you are quick off your feet on the internet, you will have a difficult time obtaining one as the invites will expire in 48 hours if not used.
There is no word on the pricing of the device, though it is expected, that the 64 GB unit will be available under Rs 25,000 mark and in the sandstone black variant. It is not clear how much would the 16 GB variant will retail for. In terms of specifications, the device has a 5.5 inch full HD IPS panel and is powered by a Snapdragon 801 SoC. You have 3 GB of RAM on board and a 13 MP rear camera with a 3220 mAh battery.
