As the world progresses towards an even more digital centric 2013, it should not be beyond the realms of possibility that the web would become and even bigger storage tank of our information. Gone are the days when we would sit and use a personal diary to sit and record the daily events of our lives, today either we have no time to do that or are plain too lazy to sit and write. We much ore prefer to type the thing, so a digital journal does sound a great idea. There are a few applications that work well to help us this, one of the most popular ones is Everynote, yet it has never been all that attractive to me at least. It was while searching for an alternative that I came across Penzu which works great for me.
Penzu is a web application, that is free to use. All you have to do is create a free account and then scribble away your life in it as and how it unfolds. And the best thing is, just like your personal diary Penzu keeps everything absolutely private by means of an id and password. If you like accessing the web from your smart phone then Penzu does have both an Android as well as iPhone application to help you quickly jot the entries in. The UI is really simple, and by using different fonts and attaching media content you can really add so much more to your private journal than you can on a paper or most of the other applications. The journal is military encryption protected so you can be sure of your writing being absolutely safe. I personally use the application to store topics I would be looking to cover in the upcoming weeks on Blogtechnika, and it works like a charm. It is completely free and can be accessed by simply visiting the website. I am really impressed by the UI most on the iPad so if you own one, definitely give it a try.
Here is the link to the web application where you can also find the link for mobile apps. Definitely give it a try and let us know.
