PowerSaver is your new power management system For iPhone

by Achint Maniar on February 12, 2012

We use our iPhones 24×7, maybe even when we sleep. Yes, its an awesome experience but what really takes the hit is the battery. We hate the fact it dies out early. Sometimes I do wonder why more companies have not experimented with bigger capacity batteries. Hopefully, this trend will be taken forward by the Razr Maxx, but that’s for another day. Lets focus on the iPhone for now. PowerSaver is a slick new tweak in Cydia for iPhone/iPad that lets you automatically perform actions when your device’s battery reaches specific percentages, helping you save on unnecessary battery usage. It acts like a personal assistant and automatically does the needful. If you have set the percentage to 45% then it will perform the tasks that you have pre-configured.

The actions you can perform with PowerSaver include:

  • Turning off WiFi
  • Turning on Airplane mode
  • Lowering brightness
  • Re-spring or reboot

PowerSaver is available now in Cydia for $1.50 but can be downloaded for free as well. There are no new icons added to your SpringBoard, and settings can be configured in your main Settings.app.

To install this tweak you need to follow the steps given below:

1.Open Cydia on your jailbroken iphone.

2.Let the data load.

3.Once the data is loaded go to search and type in “PowerSaver”.

4.It’s free in the IHR, insanelyi and sinfuliphone repo.

5.Select it and Install it.

6.Respring or reboot your device.

7.You are set and ready to use the tweak.

If you know any other tweaks similar to this one or any other tweak which you might think would be useful to iphone users please let us know.

Blogtechnika will not be responsible if your device gets bricked while using Cydia.
