Samsung Tells Us Why S-Voice Was Blocked

We recently told you here that Samsung has decided to block off the servers that were responsible for responding to all our queries to its much anticipated S-Voice application which was leaked online.

This application only ran on the ICS running android devices but our joys were short lived as Vlingo the partners of Samsung in running of S-Voice application which is to be kept as an exclusive for the flagship device i.e. Galaxy SIII. However, Samsung has allegedly explained its move to block the application by saying this:

An initial test version of S Voice which was found online has been blocked as Samsung Electronics does not want consumers to judge the quality of the voice feature based on a test version. When the product is launched, users of GALAXY S III will be able to fully experience S Voice.”

To me that makes absolute sense as Samsung would not want people to be judging the application which is not in the market yet and bearing in mind that S-Voice is one of the unique Selling Points of the GS3, Samsung would not want people to form any sort of negative opinion about the device before it is even launch. So a justified move there from Samsung and responsible of them by letting us know. I just hope that once the application is fully ready and the launch of Galasy SIII is done we can get this voice assistant on all of our ICS running devices.
