Skype New Year Gift: 30 Minutes Free Call Credit Voucher

Today when I opened my mail, I was surprised to see the mail by The subject of the mail was “Sorry for any inconvenience”. It is an apology message by Skype because few days ago site was down for few hours in many parts of the countries. But along with apology they also offered credit voucher of 30 minutes call in many popular countries across the World. Here’s a message written in the mail

As a valued customer of Skype, we would like to offer you a sincere apology and offer you our gratitude with a credit voucher worth a call of more than 30 minutes to a landline in some of our most popular countries, such as USA, UK, Germany, China, Japan. Or spend it however you like on Skype.

I visited and entered my login credentials along with the Voucher code and after few minutes I received Skype credit $1 in my account.

  1. I got this a week back. They are sending it to Skype users as a compensation for the recent service outage. Though 1$ sounds too low from their perspective they are spending 1$ x Millions. This along with video calling feature update for iPhone app is sure a New Year gift 😉
