Sony’s mobile business future continues to remain in balance, but that has not stopped the company from making a couple of rather high profile announcements. The Japanese manufacturer announced that their flagship device, the Xperia Z4 will be available as the Xperia Z3+ in the coming month of June and will bring pretty much all the features as it is of the Z4 other than an Octa Core SoC in the form of Snapdragon 810.
Not just this, Sony also announced the Xperia M4 here in India. The device was officially announced at the Mobile World Congress and has made way to India for a price of Rs 24,990 in three color choices, which includes: black, white and coral. The device will be available starting today in Sony’s retail stores. In terms of USP, the device is mainly known for its waterproof ratings, which is measured at IP65 and IP68. This means that the device is dustproof and waterproof and can be submerged in 1.5 m of water for 30 mins.
In terms of specs, the device comes with a 5 inch 720 P screen with a tempered glass pre-installed. The device comes with Snapdragon 615 SoC which is an Octa Core processor. The RAM on board is 2 GB while you have 16 GB of space for the internal memory, which is a fair bit. There is spot for Micro SD expansion in there. The device comes with 13 MP and 5 MP camera units on the back and the front. The battery is a 2400 mAh, while the device does support all the LTE bands of India.
