It’s a Sony device that the tech verse is very very excited about. The name Honami has become synonymous with the most awaited device of the second half of the year and if these teasers by Sony mobile are to be believed, then it’s not long before we hear an official announcement, as early as IFA 2013. The device is expected to be eventually called the Xperia Z1 or Zi depending on which tech journal you read and trust more, but most definitely it would be the flagship device of Sony and they are building up for the launch very much like HTC teased and probed the HTC One.

Above is one of the twitter teasers that Sony have published, and one thing we can surely make out from that is, the Honami would be a pretty big device, so placing the power unlock button at the side makes a lot of sense. The device is expected to ship with a 20 MP Camera which would definitely make it the device with largest camera in terms of meg pixels after Nokia 808/ Lumia 1020. It is also expected the phone will come with the latest Snapdragon 800 SoC.

The Honami is expected to have very similar form factor to the Xperia Z and would also come with water proof rating. It would definitely be interesting to see that with all these features combined with a high res display, if Sony would be really able to compete with market giants such as HTC and Samsung when it comes to being the Android phone to pick.
