Sony has been criticised in the past for updating its flagship line of devices twice a year. Last year, we saw both, the Xperia Z2 and the Z3 being launched. This year, we are most likely to see the Xperia Z4 and the next iteration of that in the form of the Xperia Z5 by the time the year ends. The Xperia Z4 has been leaked out by a leakster called @OnLeaks which shows the device from several angles. The device brings the same omnibalance design of metal and glass as we have seen on the previous Xperia Z devices, though this one has a fair few changes at least in terms of the ports.
The USB power and connectivity port for example, has been shifted downstairs from the side and it no more is covered with the flimsy flap. The noise cancellation microphone too has been moved to the top right of the phone while the front facing camera is now on the left side of the Sony branding. The bottom of the phone has the lanyard port and the SIM card slot has been moved to the left side of the phone as compared to the right where it was located.
The Xperia Z4 is expected to bear the dimensions of 146.3x 71.9×7.2mm with a 5.2 inch display with 1080 P resolution. There is no Sony branding on the back of the device in the renders, though we do think that is only a rendering issue.
