Once in a while we have come across the problem where we feel that our internet is kind of slow and the speed that we are getting is rather slower as compared to what we normally would get. The downloading seem slow, the streams are not working properly and in general sites are taking too long to load. We always wonder the, that maybe someone is connected to our Wi-Fi and using their computer on our internet service.
So far, there were not many tool so confirm our fears or a way to find out, but now with Wireless Network Watcher you can find out if someone is connected to your network and using the data. It also provides useful information like the Mac Address and names of the computers and the devices that are connected to your network . You can also export the devices list in HTML, XML, CSV, and text file format or copy it to the clipboard which would also be helpful in keeping records.
Wireless Network Watcher is designed for Wireless networks, however, according to the developer it can also be used to scan small LAN (Local Area Network). So far it is compatible with most of the windows platform like XP, Vista and 7 however there is a good chance that it may be available on more platforms.
This utility can only scan a wireless network that you’re currently connected to. It cannot scan other wireless networks.
If the tool is unable to detect the correct wireless network adapter, then you should go to ‘Advanced Options’ window (F9), and manually choose the correct network adapter. I t also works for small wired network.
