Xiaomi is rightly called the Apple of China. They have not just disrupted the market but also brought about a sense of expectation from their own fans that they would deliver new products at highly affordable prices yet with a sense of innovation that is not known in that price segment. They successfully did the same with the Mi3, to an extent with Mi4, RedMi Note, Mi Note and RedMi 2 Prime in the recent years. However, the next device expected out of Xiaomi’s labs looks to be taking upon the likes of iPhone 6s Plus or the Galaxy Note 5. It has been leaked out on Weibo that Xiaomi will bring the Mi Note 2 to the market soon and the device packs a fair few punches above the weight.
The phone according to the leak, will come with a finger print scanner in its Home button, a bit like Samsung’s Note 5. The device has noticeably thinner bezels as compared to the original Mi Note. Not just this, the render also shows two rear cameras in a configuration that we assume is very similar to the likes of HTC M8 where one camera is used for depth measurement. The device will rock a 5.7 inch Quad HD display with Snapdragon 820 at its heart and 4 GB of RAM. The Mi Note 2 is expected to come with 64 GB internal memory and MIUI 7 out of the box.
While the account from which the renders have surfaced has in the past been been reliable and spot on, but these sketches definitely do not look like that of a finished product. While the specs may still turn out to be true, we would hope for sure that Xiaomi will be refining the looks of the phone a bit more than what it looks like in the renders.
